I chose "All We Were Promised" as a book for a book club with my sisters. I hadn’t read it yet, so I took a leap of faith and have been rewarded with a captivating masterpiece that seamlessly weaves together American history and characters that feel real. The exploration of pre-Civil War slavery is both poignant and enlightening, offering valuable insights into a tumultuous and cruel time in American history, reminding us of the unfathomable depths of human cruelty and the enduring resilience of those who endured its merciless grip. The love the characters' have for each other shines through, making their journeys all the more resonant. I found myself utterly engrossed in every page, and my desire for a sequel speaks volumes to the impact this novel had on me. Please Ms. Lattimore, I want more.

The app works well for everything except the audiobooks. My phone looses battery quickly on this app when I listen to an audiobook and it also heats up. Other audiobook apps don’t do this. I hope this can be fixed.

The app says I have a notification but no way to clear it. There’s nothing that’s showing there is one! How do I remove this?
United StatesDecent but minor audiobook improvements could be made
Decent app, but the audiobook functions make tracking in other apps difficult. Normally StoryGraph or Goodreads allow users to track by % or minutes listened, but BOTM doesn’t have an easy way to do that. It’s a small thing, but one that makes tracking reading, and understanding how much of the book you’ve listened to, so much easier. Even just being able to tap to toggle between amount listened to vs amount remaining would be nice!

I’m not as much of a reader, more of a listener. I would love to have an easier way to control audiobook play back while I’m driving! I would be much more inclined to use the app in the car if I could better control it. I do appreciate that you can use your credit towards audiobooks!
