Reprehensibly glitchy and frustrating
The Fios TV app is consistently unreliable for streaming channels. It lacks interface with fire stick & Apple TV remotes, as you have to scroll through every channel to tune. Forget about trying to access on demand content, it will take an hour to navigate and sort though all of the menus and wait for each to load up. If you are using this app for live streaming, make sure you have your password handy as you will need to login at random instances, usually in the middle of your favorite show or a pivotal point in playoff hockey. We have had issues with choppy picture, constant re-entering login credentials and painfully slow initial loading for a year now, despite multiple troubleshooting attempts with the carrier. Please do not rely on the app to stream Fios channels consistently, it’s not worth the headache. Sad!
Great when it works
I love this app but it is glitchy beyond what a communication behemoth like Verizon should offer. Honestly it is like the ugly step child in the Verizon family.
No PIP after years is ridiculous
I’ll leave it at that and not get into the other 50 limitations this app has.
Awful when using on IPad
The app continuously kicks you out, stops works and/or interrupts with notifications. Logging back in is 100 times harder than getting into my bank account. I’m close to getting rid of Verizon cable anyway.
Lack of access
The lack of the access when not on your home network makes FIOS very frustrating. Should not even call it a mobile app!
Interface
Poorly designed user interface. Needs work. When I login you know who I am. My IP address is irrelevant. I should be able to use my VPN or when I travel any connection.
Way worse than spectrum
Really annoying can’t multi task by pulling screen down and then being able to text without losing mini video player like can for Spectrum. Also obnoxious that every time open app back up an ad has to play.
Try a 48-hour ‘Free Preview’ of premium channels like HBO, Showtime, and Starz Personalized ‘Because you watched’ recommendations Improved Channel Guide filtering. All playback screens now include a ‘Mute’ button. Enhanced troubleshooting flows. Now add Fios TV Mobile as a widget on your device. Bug fixes and improvements.
