Bugs and glitches and inconvenient
Why is there not a version of the app for coaches, how does that make sense? I have to log on through a web browser and 1/3 of the time it won’t let me get past the login page. Just says it’s loading for ~5 minutes and then nothing happens.
Useless for an individual
I was looking around for a strength training tracker/planner that isn't bogged down with microtransactions and all that junk. Just be warned, don't glance too quickly over the description. This isn't an application you can use as an individual. It requires someone else to pay a subscription so you can use it, or something. I don't know. It's not 100% clear their whole setup. So, for most people just looking for tools to help them, this wont help ya.
Can’t Sign in
Unless I have full bars or on wifi, it seems I can’t sign in
Really buggy
This app would be awesome if it works. My phone (running iOS 14.6) can’t get past the login screen. Sometimes if I remove the app and reload it I can get it to work ONCE before it won’t let me log in any more. And often when it works basic functions like clicking buttons to mark sets as finished won’t function. I’m hopeful that the app gets fixed soon, as I’m having to request my workouts be sent over email so I don’t waste my time at the gym fighting my phone (or worse just making up my own workout when the app just won’t work at all). Given that this really isn’t a free app (we pay our trainers and they pay MyStrengthBook) I expect a LOT more.
Great, when it wants to work
I’ve been using it for a few months now, and while it’s a great app when it works, there have been some frustrating glitches. Woke up this morning to lift, and I can’t even get into the program my coach sent me- the app wouldn’t even let me get past putting my login email.
Pretty terrible
Tried this for a day. It’s pretty low on features for actually logging your workout. And that one feature doesn’t even work. Saving comments for one day wrote those comments to a previous day. Trying again just overwrote the entered comments still on the wrong day. I’m sure the data analysis is cool but the data collection is so bad I’ll never know
Issues with iOS 13 and some other wants
When attempting to upload clips edited in the new iOS update, it uploads the entire video instead of the edited clip, due to how apple is storing the clips now. Also, I’d really like an easy way to see what lifts I’ve done at what weight recently, other than going to old days and finding them. A lift history that list some like: Squat| 10/1/19 | 3x4 | 380 | rpe 7 Would be useful to look at different set/rep/rpe schemes to determine a lift goal.
This release of MyStrengthBook focuses on improving the user experience with more control over commonly used features and workflows.
