The app features useful tools and the video feed looks good. That said, our first one had severe connection issues and was very inconsistent with usability. Also, the video lagged behind what was actually happening. Nanit fortunately replaced our camera, and after a few months, we’re experiencing the same issues. More so, the app will not turn off when prompted and the app will randomly crash. Not worth the money.

I didn’t research this monitor system very well and just assumed with as much as you pay for it there wouldn’t be additional subscription fees to use. Especially for the breathing monitoring that should always be included in my opinion. Overall I do like the camera, we did have to have it replaced under warranty at only 3.5 months which took longer than I would have liked, as parents you depend on this device while your baby sleeps, the process took a week so that’s a week we didn’t have a way of monitoring her sleep.

We love the Nanit, I just wish it had an actual monitor vs just the app. We ended up buying a cheap low tech audio monitor for when we have a baby sitter.
United StatesThe App and camera constantly breaks
We own this camera and Eufy ones. The eufy ones work like a clock and we never have any issues. Our nannit camera breaks at least once a week when you need it most for white noise or to speak to your child on the camera. Every time it stops working, you have to “troubleshoot” the camera. Which means going into your kids room unplugging and replugging the camera which defeats the purpose of having one. Save yourself money and the inconvenience of a low quality product. Try another one like Eufy that’s 1/3 of the price and works like a charm

App is awful…… I want real time updates of my child.. not have to wait and wait for it to load. It’s much faster to just walk in the room and check. Not to mention anytime there’s a event … conveniently the video will not load. You’d expect more out of an app that charges quite a fee for access to all of the “perks” it says it offers.
