Feeling your baby move is a sign they are well. If your baby’s movements change it may be a sign they are in distress and should be reported to a midwife or maternity unit. This App by UK charity Kicks Count helps you keep track of your baby’s movements so you can identify if there is a change. Features- Easy to use counter 7 and 14 day graphs to see your baby’s movements at a glance Call your midwife or maternity unit from the app Information on babies movements
Helpful for all day tracking
I really like this app, I think it fills a gap the other kick counting apps do not meet. Other apps are great for doing your once a day kick counting tracker (ex: every day after dinner count how long to get to 10 kicks), this app is good for paying attention all day. It is important to pay attention to what your baby’s patterns are throughout the day, and this app allows you to do that and record it. If normally I feel my baby move 15-20 sessions per day, but one day I only feel 4 sessions, I would go to the hospital that day to be checked out. Better safe than sorry. I define a “session” as a movement that happens more than 15 minutes since the last session I recorded. I record one count per session. This app isn’t perfect but I’m glad to have it to fill that gap. I also recommend using another app for your once per day counting of a single session. Remember to talk to your doctor about your approach!
Not a kick counting app
Kicks are supposed to be measured by time - doctors say 10 kicks in 2 hours. This app does not track time but “sessions of movement” in a day. Not truly a kick counting app.
