Needs work
Meningitis need reworking especially for easier comprehension of navigation items when it comes to networking sections and configurations. Missing save credential options for persistent favorite connections When connecting through local or streaming networks and casting to chromecast or Apple play devices, opening other apps that use video and sound suddenly pause the video content and in some cases stop playing alltogether. Time to kill chromecast should also be addressed and resume functions more seamless with chromecast connectivity. Your app currently dismisses things far too quickly. The user interface itself has always one for those who have basic comprehension and knowledge of how this program should function over the many years of its existence and additions that it possesses. Despite it being one of the most feature rich and powerful tools available that is also free I’d believe its way passed time to make the UI for apps more user friendly and simplify the connectivity options for ease of use. A retouch of all available manuals and how to should also be revisited. This goes for your android app as well guys. Always a fan of VLC and there’s always room fo improvement.
Great app that needs tweaks
I use this app every day, but likely in a different way than most users. I use it to stream URLs via the Network Streams option. My only real frustration is the lack of ability to easily reorder my list of streams and the bizarre limit of how many I can have in my list. I don’t get why there’s a limit and ordering alphabetically and manually should be a no-brainer. Hopefully these seemingly minor additions will be coming soon.
None of the Network stuff works
Good app for videos but none of the network features work
Needs Optimization
When rendering videos in 2180p VLC is very slow. This is likely an issue with Iphone hardware, however if possible optimization would be amazing.
Mid
It would be convenient to have the ability to convert files within the app, Other than that it’s fine.
Just not good
I’ve tried likng VLC on both Windows and iOS, but it just doesn’t work. Some of the features don’t work and the ones that do work aren’t at all explained. Also, you literally CANNOT save files on your device to VLC. You can access them, but you need to go through a long process every time you wanna view them. There’s a library, but you can’t actually put stuff into it. I’d say you should look somewhere else, but unfortunately this is pretty much the only option. 2/10 Also, files cut off the first second or two of audio and you can’t fix it
