WSBT-TV News

This was briefly a decent app, but went downhill quickly. Clear there is no investment or care in what is posted. Stories about the Super Bowl still show in the entertainment section (in May!). Stories posted are clearly generated transcripts from on air stories, and are full of mis-spellings and nonsense because no one bothers to look before items get posted. Just give up on the app - you clearly moved on a long time ago.

The latest update won’t open on my iPad even though it’s supposedly supported. I’ve used this app for several years without a problem. 😢

Every other news app properly adjusts between phones, tablets, portrait, and landscape. This one does not. I will read it from my phone, but not my tablet.

The app has its ups and downs. Sometimes things load sometimes the don’t. What her and news videos are way out of date, really don’t need to know the weather in June when it’s the later half of November Ms

WSBT should NOT call their texted messages “weather alerts”. When The National Weather Service issues advisories or alerts during the overnight hours and the alerts are NEVER sent until 6:30am, ALWAYS at 6:30am, then that is putting people in peril. They have the false sense that they will be alerted during the overnight hours. So, if WSBT is going to allow their “weather alerts” (that goes for their glitchy “weather cams, also) to operate only some of the time, it would be best to ditch the promise of getting alerts (some of the most dangerous weather happens during that midnight to 6:30am period). Just think. Not long ago, WSBT led the way with their 24/7 weather channel. Not anymore.
