I see Britbox is being shut down on 30 April 24. It’s now 14 May. I’m going to keep using it until iTV stops it. iTV does mention to get a VPN unfortunately a news article a few days ago said that they were very easy to be hacked. So the bottom line is that when Britbox stops I’ll really miss it. I use this app over 25 hours a week. BritBox did indeed update the app. It’s easier to locate shows and new shows. And if you don’t get emails from BritBox, you should consider getting them. They contain a bunch of new information about both old and new shows. Really good. Yes I did rate it a 5 star. I have had the Britbox on my iPhone for several years (I would think Britbox knows how long). I’ve been using the smart cast to my TV without having to get Britbox though third party (Roku, Amazon, etc) because my TV didn’t have the app available until a couple of weeks ago. It’s really great it was added to my TV (thank you Vizio and Britbox). I do have one annoying thing, it keeps (the app) signing out (an oops error) after watching several episodes or switching shows. And a question about having to sign in every day to watch. (Okay two annoying things). Thank you for time. Maybe someone will read this and look at those two things.

The shows are excellent and you can watch shows that aren't available anywhere else. Upgrades would be helpful though to make the experience better: -Ability to create individual viewer account -Ability to share thumbnail of shows by text, etc. Look forward to watching British TV! I have used this app for several years now and it is astounding that the app gets WORSE with each passing day. I am now at the point that I need to delete it every day because it won’t let me sign in again. If you have started watching something you can’t turn the subtitles on. I’m canceling my subscription because as much as I love the shows this is more trouble than it’s worth.

I enjoy the content, but the UI leaves a lot to be desired. It signs me out randomly, lags, sometimes freezes completely. And it’s annoying that the app doesn’t have a “pop out” video player so I can keep watching while using other apps. The subscription costs the same as other major streaming apps, but it doesn’t offer the same experience.

The app is worthwhile for all the great shows. However, you cannot download episodes for offline viewing. For the past month, I get asked to login whenever I start the app on Apple TV. This is very annoying and completely unnecessary.

Can’t update account information in the app so it tells you to go to their website. No matter what you click on, on the website it opens the app. No way to login to the web on iOS devices without it redirecting and opening the app. Let us edit account info in the app or stop your website from redirecting to the app with every click.
