No highlighting for iOS
Better reading experience than Instapaper and better tagging system, but I wish I could highlight text again.
Another distracting algorithm
It used to be an app that let you save web pages for later reading, simple and effective. Now it starts you off on a home page that feeds you the algorithm. The feed is much more attractive and thought out than your pages and they don’t give you the option to turn the garbage off. All I needed was an app free of distraction to read what I desired. This app has lost its usefulness and appeal.
Doesn’t save place in articles
Every time I reopen an article it starts at the top. Also the recommendations page is spammy and the app should just open to your saves
Won’t save from Apple News
Instapaper can save. Why not Pocket?
I always did like firefox
24/4/29 Pocket never really came thru with anything useful or interesting or fun. I would try to read something, and it would usually not be there to read. Now i tried to login and they REQUIRE me to use firefox, which is not a problem, but i can not get past the login screens. Traveling in circles here. Twice is two times more than should be necessary. I finally found a CONTACT prompt, which took me absolutely nowhere. Good programming, people. Nice way to get/keep customers. Where are your collective heads at? I generally try to use once or twice a year, because your rep is so good. Whoops! Guess i have been listening to the wrong people. Will try again. Someday. Maybe.
Crashing
Can you explain why Pocket is now so dysfunctional? Frequent crashes. And when I reopen the app after a crash, it opens to its homepage which I usually avoid because I don’t need reading suggestions. A nuisance. I’ve used this app for years, mostly happily. What have you done?
